The town center extends around one of Austria’s most beautiful monasteries and along a creek. The project was funded by the regional government of Carinthia and based on a participative process involving the local community, the schools as well as the municipality. Central issues addressed vacancy of commercial space, the situation of school related traffic peaks and measures to activate existing potentials.
Different ideas were developed in dialogue with the residents, various interest- groups and are now being implemented by the municipality.
