The four main functions of the barracks (sports, accommodation, administration, workshops and garage) are divided due to its layout and topography and their mixing is strictly avoided. The accommodation buildings are arranged around a courtyard, which is a traffic-free zone and can be used both as an optional, smaller approach area and to linger, and thus serve as a place of community and communication between the soldiers. The workshop district includes facilities of storage, repair, and training. Open spaces on the site, in addition to their basic functionality as an access area, are designed as high-quality lounge areas. Inviting green spaces with seating make it possible to relax in the open air.
