We proposed a new building for the headquarters, since the preservation of the existing building does not appear to be economically feasible due to structural deficits. The aim of the design is to create a sustainable and future-oriented building ensemble that can meet the challenges of climate change and adapt to changing requirements for spatial needs. Practiced sustainability should not only be perceptible to everyone in the choice of building materials, but also in the flexibility of use and the operation of the building.
The design quality of the rooms – in all scales, from urban development to workspace, plays a decisive role. This project creates a new component of Klagenfurt’s Ringstrasse buildings as well as the southern connection of the planned Ringquartier.
