The new building defines the completion of the local urban development through simple and at the same time playful volumes that creates a harmonious transition between the different existing urban scales.

On Sooßer Straße the building volume is three storeys high, and only two levels high in the west, because of the natural slope of the building site. The four volumes of the new building are connected with each other and each room program is organised around four differently themed courtyards.
Through horizontal and vertical shifts, the four interconnected volumes react to the site geometry and create differentiated outside spaces.
The construction process is thought in two phases:
In the first phase 72 beds with all needed support program will be built. After completion of this phase, clients will be already moved from the existing building into the new facility. The food will be supplied via an external delivery. The existing building will then be smoothly demolished to make place for phase two, in which additional 72 beds will be constructed as well as the administration, restaurant and cafe, the production kitchen and 50 carparks.
